While Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin were present on Wednesday’s episode, Sara Haines was noticeable missing from of the ABC talk show today.
Season 30 of The View kicked off last Tuesday (Sept. 8), reuniting all six co-hosts—the aforementioned five and Ana Navarro—for its premiere episode.
Wondering why Haines was missing today? Here is what we know.
Goldberg immediately addressed Haines’ absence on Wednesday, telling viewers, “As you see, Sara’s out today.”
“She’ll be with us maybe tomorrow, we’ll see,” she added.
As Goldberg attempted to proceed with the morning’s first hot topic, Joy Behar interjected to assure viewers that Haines is “not sick.”
“Because people get worried when somebody disappears,” Behar explained. “But she’s not sick.”
Goldberg replied, “All we gotta tell them is that she’s not here. They’ll notice it. But we mention it because we don’t want them to think we don’t notice it. You know what I mean? So that’s why we say what you already can see.”
