Add Page Six on Google Taylor Swift shocked the Emmys audience when she made a surprise cameo at the 2026 Emmys.
The pop star appeared in a “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” skit with her real-life cat, Olivia Benson, named after Emmys host Mariska Hargitay’s iconic character in the long-running crime show.
In the skit, the “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” cast tries to break down clues that she will appear during the ceremony, taking a page from dedicated Swifties who analyze her every move.
NBC Swift then appears holding her cat, wearing a gray suit, playing a rookie on the squad.
She pokes fun at herself, doubting her appearance at the ceremony.
“She’s probably going to be at home playing with those cats she’s named after TV characters,” she says.
Benson then cracks the case, noting that Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, is playing a game with the Kansas City Chiefs on the same night, so she won’t be attending.
Ice-T’s character, Finn Tutuola declares, “Well if she’s not there, I’m not watching.”
Swift cheekily references what she did in real-life, telling the room, “She’s gonna do one of those pre-tape sketch things to support the host.”
When the iconic “Law & Order” gavel sound chimes, Swift lights up as Hargitay tells her, “Isn’t it cool when it does that?”
Swift replies, “It’s actually my ringtone,” as the two then give a dramatic stare to the camera.
