Taylor Frankie Paul admitted to cheating on Doug Mason — who received her final rose and proposed to her on “The Bachelorette” — with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
“This is so bad,” she said in a confessional during Thursday’s premiere of the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” Season 5.
“So yes. I came home from ‘The Bachelorette.’ Night of, [Dakota and I] were texting, he was like, ‘When are you coming home?'”
Paul went on to explain that she and Mortensen had been communicating to figure out the co-parenting situation of their 2-year-old son, Ever.
“And then I don’t know how it got to the point of like, yeah, he came over to my house and … it was late,” she confessed.
She also confirmed she had been sleeping with Mortensen since coming home from the ABC show.
“The fact that I am engaged to Doug, that is where, I think, things get a little trickier, because I still have feelings [for Mortensen].
“I’m gonna use an analogy here because this is the best way I can describe it. When you have an addiction, there’s not a lot of things that are more powerful than that drug.”
During the premiere, which was filmed in January, Mortensen surprised Paul by showing up at her house as she was getting ready for bed.
“How are you?” he asked, to which she replied, “I was tired, but I guess I just got a shock of adrenaline a little bit. You kinda just woke me up. You know, that’s really how we work.”
However, the on-again, off-again couple quickly got into a fight over who Mortensen had been seeing while Paul was away filming, which caused him to storm out of her house.
“I don’t want a complicated life, but it’s all I know,” she said in a confessional when asked why she was still seeing Mortensen. “Chaos has been so heightened for the past few years and it’s like all I know. It’s so normal to me. I think it’s stemming from nothing but pure pain.”
As Page Six previously reported, ABC axed Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” in March before it aired after a video of a 2023 domestic incident between her and Mortensen was leaked.

Additionally, “SLOMW” halted filming that month because officials were also looking into multiple incidents of alleged abuse between the two.
Paul ultimately ended her engagement to Mason a month after filming wrapped, per celebrity gossip blogger Reality Steve.
Despite the controversy surrounding Paul and her nasty custody battle with Mortensen, Page Six reported in April that the “MomTok” member and Mason were trying to give their relationship another chance.
The pair were “seeing each other” again and “trying to make it work,” a source told Us Weekly at the time.
The outlet’s insider also claimed Paul and Mason “were hanging out recently and want to see if they can get back together and be a couple.”
Mason also shared a supportive social media message to Paul when news of the “Bachelorette” cancellation broke.
“In light of everything that’s happened, I’m just sending out prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked,” Mason wrote on his Instagram Stories. “All we can do right now is just be hopeful,” he added.
However, it is unclear where Paul and Mason stand today.
As for her and Mortensen, the two continue to hurl accusations of abuse at each other and are still locked in a custody battle over Ever.
