Netflix’s Grand Theft Auto 6 sneak peek has fans freaking out: ‘I’m crying tears of joy’

Add The New York Post on Google The wait is almost over.

Netflix’s debut of a “Grand Theft Auto 6” sneak peek has sent fans into a frenzy, offering a first glimpse Thursday at the highly anticipated November release — the first new title in the series in over a decade.

The game’s super realistic graphics and dazzling visuals are generating massive hype online from dedicated players, who are questioning whether GTA 6 is a video game or a gateway into an alternate reality.

“How is this a real game bro!?” wrote Grand Theft Auto 6 Alerts (GTA6Alerts), an X news account dedicated solely to the game’s November release.

“I’m crying tears of joy! All those years of waiting were totally worth it.”

Tayyib, a self-proclaimed filmmaker and gamer, posted, “I’m prepared to lock myself in my room for the month.”

The 25-minute teaser showcases protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Camino in a high-octane string of convenience store and jewelry heists.

It kicks off with a drug deal gone bad, spiraling into a chaotic police shootout as the duo fights to evade capture.

“Rockstar you have me SOLD just by your Netflix Extended Look for GTA 6…” wrote an X user.

The promotional event is part of a partnership between Rockstar Games — the company behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise — and Netflix, which comes a week after a hacker operating under the name “CyberLeek” released information about the game.

The leak consisted of raw gameplay mechanics, Vice City/Leonida map layouts, interior test footage and early cutscenes, according to Forbes.

CyberLeek also watermarked the footage to promote a cryptocurrency scheme ($CYBERLEEK) and posted an anti-consumerism manifesto criticizing digital pre-orders.
