NFL Preseason 2026 Week 2: How to watch Jets vs. Steelers live for free

Add The New York Post on Google The Jets are back in action tonight, kicking off Week 2 of NFL preseason.

After dropping their first game of the season, a 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Jets head to Pittsburgh for a game against the Steelers.

After sitting out last week’s game due to ankle soreness, a source confirmed to The Post’s Brian Costello that Jets QB1 Geno Smith will start tonight’s game. Smith practiced with the team all week ahead of tonight’s matchup.

During this week of practices, Jets running back Breece Hall suffered a groin strain that’ll keep him out of preseason, but per head coach Aaron Glenn, he’ll be ready to go for Week 1 against Tennessee.

The Steelers, who beat the Packers 28-9 in preseason Week 1, will lean on Will Howard and Drew Allar as QB options in today’s game. Head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that Aaron Rodgers will not play tonight, meaning he has already played his former team for the last time.

Tonight’s (Aug. 21) Jets vs. Steelers game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. ET.
