Neutrogena apologizes for past treatment of Hayden Panettiere after her tragic death

Add Page Six on Google Neutrogena is owning up to its past mistakes regarding its treatment of Hayden Panettiere after the actress’ tragic passing.

In a statement posted to its official Instagram page, the beauty brand said it “understand[s] that [it] made her feel unsupported during a very difficult time.”

“This is not what Neutrogena stands for or who we want to be,” the company added.

Elsewhere in the statement, Neutrogena said its “deeply saddened” by the “Heroes” actress’ death.

“For more than a decade, Hayden was a valued member of our Neutrogena community,” the company said, noting that it was “proud to have partnered with her.”

“Hayden’s courage in sharing her challenges helped inspire important conversations and awareness,” it continued. “We are making a significant investment to a long-standing community health partner to help give more women access to the support they need, including care for postpartum depression.”

Neutrogena vowed to “share more details with this community when plans are in place.”

The “Heroes” actress claimed earlier this year that Neutrogena “canceled [her] long-standing contract” for allegedly breaking a morality clause.

Panettiere revealed that the incident occurred after she admitted to suffering from postpartum depression following the 2014 birth of her daughter, Kaya.

The “Nashville” actress died Sunday of an apparent “overdose” at the age of 36.
