Add The New York Post on Google A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting that rocked Virginia State University Saturday morning and left five people wounded, one in critical condition.
The suspected has been identified as Camron Harris of Henrico, Virginia, and he is not a student on campus — four of the injured are also not students.
The injured ranged from 17 to 23. One of the injured is a student and has been released from the hospital after receiving medical care.
No information regaridng a possible motive is publicly avalable.
Police obtained eight felony warrants for Harris, including for malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Authorities said that additional charges may be filed.
The university said in an earlier statement that authorities were searching for multiple suspects, but police provided no additional information Saturday evening about the search.
University officials said earlier Saturday that law enforcement did not believe there is an immediate threat to the community on campus, and a lockdown has been lifted.
