Add The California Post on Google Dramatic video captured a police K-9 biting down on a suspect’s arm and dragging him from a vehicle during an apparent standoff in San Bernardino.
The incident unfolded around midnight Thursday in strip mall parking lot at 5200 University Parkway, where police deployed the dog after a more than hourlong standoff, according to a videographer at the scene.
The leashed K-9 is seen latching on to the suspect’s left arm and violently tugging at the man before ultimately pulling him from the vehicle.
Once outside the car, a group of police officers are seen swarming the suspect and handcuffing him before brining him to his feet.
He was arrested without further incident, according to the videographer, who reported that San Bernardino County Fire personnel also responded to evaluate the suspect but did not take him to a hospital.
The sergeant at the scene declined to comment on what prompted the standoff, and no other information was released.
The San Bernardino Police Department did not respond the The California Post’s request for comment.
