Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot in his-and-hers Christian Dior Haute Couture at Madison Square Garden on Friday, marking creative director Jonathan Anderson’s first couture wedding look for a major celebrity.
And ever the queen of Easter eggs, the Grammy winner dropped a steady stream of sartorial clues about her choice of designer in the months leading up to the big day.
Since October, Swift’s been spotted carrying no fewer than five different handbags from the French fashion house, beginning with a top-handled black 30 Montaigne style during her NYC press tour for “The Life of a Showgirl.”
In April, the songwriter paid a visit to San Vicente West Village wearing a striped Staud dress and a $9,500 buttercup-colored Lady Dior covered in three-dimensional floral details, along with an itty-bitty metal bumblebee charm.
A small D-Motion bucket bag featuring the house’s distinctive Macrocannage stitching followed in May, paired first with a bridal white Retrofête minidress and, later, a punny “Stevie Knicks” tee at the NBA Finals.
And Swift and Kelce made a courtside appearance at a Cavaliers vs. Knicks game in Cleveland that same month, with the bride-to-be accessorizing her dressed-down denim look with a sleek black Dior Cigale bag.
While Anderson only joined Dior in mid-2025 — after departing Loewe, where he spent 11 years as creative director — Swift has also toted a couple of carryalls designed by his predecessor, Maria Grazia Chiuri (now the chief creative officer at Fendi).
She teamed a Gucci corset top with one of Dior’s signature saddle bags for an October 2024 date night with Kelce, and brought the same equestrian-inspired style to a Chiefs game the following month.
Swift also owns one of Chiuri’s slouchy, hobo-style D-Journey purses, having carried it in New Orleans ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl.
The “Opalite” wore her first-ever Dior red carpet look in September 2024, choosing a “Clueless”-coded yellow plaid bustier and skirt styled with black velvet shorts and lace-up leather gloves for the VMAs.
Considering that was almost a full year before Kelce popped the question, it’s probably a stretch to assume Swift was sharing a hint about her future bridal gown.
Then again, we’re talking about the woman who once asked, “How far is too far in advance? Can I hint at something three years in advance?”
