בן מזל ודויד, נולד בחודש מאי 1927 בירושלים וסיים את בית- הספר "דורש ציון". לאחר שסיים את לימודיו עבד בבית-חרושת לגפרורים, אחר-כך כיוצק-מתכת והתגייס לנוטרות בים-המלח. היה חבר באגודת-הספורט הדתית "אליצור" ובמחתרת אצ"ל, בה קיבל את הכינוי "שאול". עקב פעילותו במחתרת נאסר ונכלא שנה תמימה במחנה-המעצר בלטרון. מששוחרר השתתף בקרבות שונים של כוחות אצ"ל בירושלים, בליווי שיירות להר-הצופים, בהגנת שכונות שמעון הצדיק, בית ישראל ו"בית מנדלבוים", בהתקפה על שכונת שייח'-ג'ראח ובהגנת העמדות היהודיות בבית-הספר לשוטרים, שנכבש זמנית מידי הלגיון הערבי, ושם נפל ביום י' באייר תש"ח (19.5.1948). מצבה לזכרו הוקמה בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים. החלל הינו מקל''ן- חלל שמקום קבורתו לא נודע.
