Atala Halabi served with the Border Patrol Police.
בן מחסנה וסלים. עטאלה נולד בדלית אל כרמל ב-1942. החל את לימודיו בכפרו בגיל חמש, אך בהיותו בן שש-עשרה נאלץ לעזוב את הלימודים בכדי לעבוד ולעזור למשפחתו. ב-13.11.1964 נשא עטאלה לאישה את פאייזה, והשניים התגוררו בדלית אל כרמל. הוא היה אב מסור, בעל משפחה יוצא מן הכלל. עשה הכול למען בני משפחתו, ותמיד דאג שלא יחסר דבר. במאי 1968 התגייס עטאלה למשמר הגבול ושירת כמפקד חוליות, ולאחר מכן עבר קורס מ"כים וטירונים. יחסיו החברתיים של עטאלה התמקדו במג"ב ובכפר. תמיד היה חבר לעת צרה, ידע לפרגן ולעזור בעת הצורך. ב-4.12.1970, בעת שסייר סמל שני עטאלה על הנגמ"ש באזור ענבתה, הוא נהרג כאשר הכביש התמוטט והרכב הדרדר לתהום. בן עשרים ושבע בנפלו. הוא נטמן בבית העלמין בעוספייה.
