Itzhak "Yazek" Abramovitch
Turai Itzhak Abramovitch served in the Israel Defense Forces. Itzhak served with the Armored Corps. Itzhak served in the War of Independence. Itzhak was 31 years old.
בן טובה וברוך-אברהם, נולד ביום ג' בניסן תרע"ז (26.3.1917). עם סיום בית-הספר העממי יצא לעבודה. בבחרותו עשה כמה שנים בקבוצת אלומות ובקיבוץ מעלה החמישה, שם עבד בחקלאות ובמסגרות. בשנות המאורעות 1936-1939 היה מטובי המגינים. לבסוף התיישב בחולון ועבד במסגרות. כאן גידל, עם אישתו, את שלושת ילדיו. כל שאיפתו היתה לחזור לחיי קיבוץ וחקלאות. בפוליטיקה ובמפלגתיות לא התערב, אך למולדת, להגנתה ולשחרורה היה מסור בלב ונפש. במלחמת העצמאות שירת בחטיבת "קריתי" והשתתף בקרבות ובפעולות בחזיתות שונות (שכונת התקווה, יפו, בית-דגון, תל-א- ריש ועוד). ביום י"א באייר תש"ח (20.5.1948) נפל בהפצצת חולון בידי המצרים. יצחק הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
