Rav Turai Yosef Sabag served in the Israel Defense Forces. Yosef served with the Home Front Command. Yosef served in the First Intifada and the South Lebanon Security Zone.
בן רוחמה ויצחק. נולד ביום כ"ז בטבת תש"ן (31.12.1945) בהרפוד, מרוקו, בן בכור להוריו. במרוקו סיים את לימודיו היסודיים והתיכוניים בבית-הספר של רשת 'כל ישראל חברים' ועלה לארץ עם משפחתו בשנת 1962. הוא התכוון להמשיך בלימודים גבוהים בארץ, אולם בעקבות פטירת אביו נאלץ לשאת בעול פרנסת המשפחה ויצא לעבוד בבניין עד מועד גיוסו. הוא גויס לצה"ל באוקטובר 1965 והוצב לשרת בחיל-הרגלים, אך שוחרר משירות חובה כעבור שלושה חודשים, על-מנת שיוכל לסייע בפרנסת המשפחה. לאחר שחרורו נשא לאישה את שרה והקים משפחה ביבנה. עבד כטכנאי בחברת בזק בהתקנת קווי טלפון. יוסף נפל בעת שירותו ברפיח ביום כ"א בטבת תשנ"א (7.1.1991) והובא למנוחת-עולמים בחלקה הצבאית בבית-העלמין ביבנה. הותיר אחריו רעיה וארבעה ילדים - מיכאל, אוסנת, אייל ונתנאל, אם שלוש אחיות - אליס, שרה וחנה וחמישה אחים - אברהם, דוד, שמואל, שמעון ומאיר.
