בן זהרה ויעקב, נולד בשנת 1945 בתוניס ועלה לארץ עם בני משפחתו ב-1957. המשפחה השתקעה ביבנה. בתוניס למד אליהו שנתיים וביבנה סיים את בית-הספר היסודי. אחר כך עבד כשרברב עצמאי בעבודות קבלנות והשתתף בהנחת תשתיות ליישובים חדשים. בצה"ל נשלח לקורס של יחידת הג"א, בזמן היותו בשירות הצבאי נולדה בתו הדסה. הוא נפל בעת שירותו ביום כ"ג באלול תשמ"ג (3.9.1983). בן 38 היה. הוא הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית הקברות ביבנה. הניח אשה ובת, הורים ותשעה אחים ואחיות.
