בן נסיב ופאודיה. נולד ביום 2 בפברואר 1949 ולמד בבית-הספר היסודי בעוספיה. הוא היה נער שקט מטבעו, כפי שהעידו חבריו לכיתה. הוא הצטיין בטוב לבו ובנאמנותו למשפחתו. תמיד עזר לבני משפחתו, לקרוביו ולידידיו בנאמנות. הוא דאג לסבתו שהתגוררה לבדה והרבה להיות במחיצתה. כדי שלא תהיה בודדה היה ישן אצלה. עד סוף שנת 1967 התגורר עם משפחתו בעוספיה ואחרי-כן עקר לאילת, שם המשיך לסייע למשפחתו מרובת הילדים. הוא הקפיד לשמור על מנהגי דתו והיה חברותי מאוד. אף על פי שלא רכש השכלה היה נבון מאוד וסמך על חושיו הטבעיים שהנחו אותו כל ימיו. פהמי גויס לצה"ל בסוף נובמבר 1969. ביום 30 בדצמבר 1970, נפל בעת מילוי תפקידו בנאות הכיכר שבערבה. הוא הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בעוספיה.
