Turai Heintz Shuryan served in the Israel Defense Forces. Heintz served with the Infantry. Heintz served in the War of Independence.
בן הדוויג (אדי) ואמיל, נולד ביום כ"ה בשבט תר"ע 4.2.1910)) בגרמניה וסיים שם בית-ספר גבוה לאמנות וארכיטקטורה. בשנת 1935 עלה לארץ, התיישב בירושלים, ועבד כאדריכל. עם פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות גויס לשורות מגיני ירושלים ומילא תפקידי-שמירה בעמדות ההגנה של העיר. ביום כ"ג בשבט תש"ח 3.2.1948)) נפגע מכדור מרצחים בעומדו על משמרתו בשכונת ארנונה שבירושלים ונפל חלל. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית- הקברות הצבאי בהר-הזיתים. השאיר אחריו אישה ושני ילדים. שמו נחקק באנדרטה שהוקמה בבית העלמין הצבאי בהר-הרצל לזכר חללי הרובע היהודי ולזכר לוחמים שנפלו במערכה על ירושלים והובאו לקבורה בהר-הזיתים.
