Turai Zeev Lahovski served in the Israel Defense Forces. Zeev served with the Golani Brigade. Zeev served in the War of Independence.
בן בתיה ושלום, נולד בשנת 1926 בעיר פינסק, פולין, שם למד בבית-ספר יסודי. זאב היה פעיל ב"נוער הציוני" ונשא נפשו לעלות לארץ-ישראל. בימי הגזירות וההשמדה של מלחמת-העולם השנייה, הציל את נפשו, ואף קנה לו ידיעה בתעשיית-נשק, שעמדה לו כשבא לארץ. בשנת 1947 עלה לארץ ועבד בתעש. עם פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות התגייס לשירות קרבי, שירת בחיל השריון ובחטיבת "גולני" ונלחם בגליל. היה בין מגיני סג'רה, שעמדה בהתקפות רצופות של כוחות קאוקג'י, ובקרבות "עשרת הימים". נפל בקרב ביום ז' בתמוז תש"ח (14.7.1948) ונקבר בטבריה. הניח אישה. ביום ט"ז בסיוון תש"י (1.6.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בחיפה.
