בן חנה ופינחס, נולד ביום ל' בניסן תרע"ז (22.4.1917) בפרנקפורט ע"נ מיין, גרמניה, למשפחה דתית ושומרת-מסורת. היה בעל השכלה תיכונית. בדרכו לארץ עשה זמן-מה באיטליה והגיע לארץ- ישראל בשנת 1937. עם בואו נכנס מיד לשורות ה"הגנה", הצטרף אל קבוצת בארות יצחק והיה מעמודי התווך של הקבוצה. הוא היה מרכז-המשק, התעמק וחקר בבעיות הקרקע ודרכי ניצולה, בבעיות אקלים הנגב והפלחה וכו'. בקרב אנשי הנגב יצאו לו מוניטין כחקלאי מנוסה וכחוקר. היתה בו אהבה רבה למוסיקה. עם פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות היה בין עובדי-הביצורים, נתמנה אחראי לגזרה ומילא את תפקידו בעוז וביטחון. אברהם נפל ביום ח' בתמוז תש"ח (15.7.1948) בקרב פנים אל פנים עם המצרים ונקבר בבארות יצחק. השאיר אישה ושתי בנות. ארבעה חודשים אחרי מותו נולד לו ילדו השלישי. ביום כ' בחשוון תשי"א (31.10.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר- הרצל בירושלים.
