Turai Lea Meleh served in the Israel Defense Forces. Lea served with the Infantry. Lea was 18 years old.
בת שמואל וסימה-איטה. נולדה ביום י"ד בתמוז תרצ"ב (18.7.1932) בעיר רומן שברומניה. עלתה לארץ במסגרת "עליית-הנוער" ובהגיעה לארץ נכנסה לקיבוץ גזר. הימים הקשים במשך מלחמת-הקוממיות אשר עברו על גזר לא דיכאו את רוחה והיא נשארה נאמנה לאידיאלים שלה כבימי עלותה לארץ. בעברה מגזר לנוה-איתן המשיכה בדרך שבה התחילה להקמת חיים חדשים בעבודה ובלימודים. את לימודיה התיכוניים המשיכה בקרב הנוער ולאחר-מכן המשיכה בהם גם בתל-אביב. גויסה לצה"ל בנובמבר 1950 ושאפה להמשיך בלימודיה ברצותה לתת מכוחה ומהשכלתה למדינת-ישראל, אולם היא לא הספיקה לבצע את תכניתה, כי אחרי חודש, ביום י"ח בטבת תשי"א (27.12.1950), נפטרה במחלה. הובאה למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת-יצחק.
