בן גיזלה ולודויג, נולד ביום כ"ז בשבט תרפ"ד (2.2.1924) בעיר ברנו שבצ'כוסלובקיה. המשפחה עלתה לארץ עם השתלטות הגרמנים על צ'כוסלובקיה בשנת 1939, והתיישבה בתל-אביב. שם השלים את לימודיו בבית-הספר התיכון ויצא לעבודה כאורג. בחודש מרס 1948 התגייס לצבא, התאמן בנתניה ונשלח לגליל העליון כלוחם בחטיבת "עודד". בדייקנות ובמסירות, שציינוהו לטובה בעבודתו האזרחית, מילא גם את כל התפקידים הצבאיים שהוטלו עליו. היה מקלען וחובש שלא נרתע מכל סכנה. בקרב האחרון שלו, בתל-עזזיאת, בעת התקפה סורית כבדה על התל, הגיש עזרה למפקדו, נפצע קשה ומת מפצעיו בו במקום ביום י' בתמוז תש"ח (17.7.1948). נקבר בתל חי. ביום כ' בחשוון תשי"א (31.10.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
