Turai Haim Amar served in the Israel Defense Forces. Haim served with the Armored Corps. Haim served in the War of Independence.
בן חביבה ונסים, נולד בשנת 1912 בצנעא, בירת תימן ועלה ארצה בשנת 1933. כאן למד את מקצוע הריצוף ועבד בו בירושלים. את ידיעותיו בעברית ובהשכלה כללית השלים במשך שנים אחדות בשיעורי-ערב. בעת החלטת עצרת האו"ם על החלוקה היה אלמן מטופל בשתי בנות יתומות ושירת כשומר במפעל האשלג בצפון ים-המלח. הוא עבר עם הנסוגים לדרום ים-המלח ומשם טס לתל-אביב והתייצב מיד לשירות בחטיבת "קריתי". הוא שירת בעיקר בשמירה במשלטים בסביבות לטרון. חיים נהרג בתאונת-דרכים בשכונת התקווה ביום א' בטבת תש"ט (2.1.1949). הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
