What Happened

בן יצחק ושושנה. נולד בשנת תרפ"ז (1927) בעיר קרקוב אשר בפולין. למד ב"ישיבה" שם ולאחר מכן בבית ספר תיכון בצרפת. מלחמת העולם השנייה עם כל זוועותיה עברה עליו בשהותו במחנות ריכוז (ומחנה אושוויץ ביניהם) וכל בני משפחתו - הוריו, אחיו, אחיותיו וקרוביו - ניספו. בשנת 1947 עלה לארץ והתחיל עובד כמנהל בעבודות בניין. השתייך למועדון השחמט בראשון לציון והיה פעיל בו. גויס לצה"ל באפריל 1948 ויצא להשתתף במלחמת הקוממיות כחובש. השתתף בתפקיד זה גם במערכת סיני בשנת 1956. בפרוץ מלחמת ששת הימים נקרא שוב לדגל לתת את שירותו למולדת וביום ח' בסיון תשכ"ז (16.6.1967), בעלות רכבו על מוקש, נפל בשעת מילוי תפקידו. הניח אשה, בן ובת. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות בראשון לציון. בבטאון הסתדרות פועלי הבניין "יסודות" הועלה זכרו.
