What Happened

בן פצ'ה ויחיא, נולד בעיר מסעוד, בתימן. אמו מתה עליו בילדותו ואמו החורגת עינתה אותו ובהיותו בן 15 ברח מן הבית והלך דרך ארוכה ברגל כדי לעלות ארצה. לאחר ייסורי רעב וצמא הגיע בי"ט באב תש"ד לקבוצת "אברהם" שליד כפר פינס. היה חבר הגדנ"ע בכרכור. את עלייתו לארץ ראה כזכות גדולה לעצמו וסיפר בדאגה על מצב היהודים בתימן. היה צנוע וישר-דרך. נכון לסייע לזולת בשעת הצורך בגוף ובממון. כבעל מסורת אהב את התורה והאגדה. בתחילת שנת תש"ח נשא אישה ובנה לו בית בשכונת התימנים "נוה אפרים" בכרכור. כעבור חודשיים התגייס לצבא שירת בחטיבה 7, ומילא כל תפקיד שהוטל עליו. השתתף בקרבות לטרון והיה גאה בשירותו כחייל עברי וחלם על פתיחת הדרך לירושלים. אהרן נפל במשלט בית-סוסין ביום ב' בסיוון תש"ח (9.6.1948). נקבר בנען. הניח אחריו אישה - שושנה. ביום ב' בסיוון תש"י (18.5.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים.
