Turai Tzvi Lanchner Avivi served in the Israel Defense Forces. Tzvi served with the Paratroopers Brigade. Tzvi served in the Sinai Campaign. Tzvi was 19 years old.

What Happened

בן דויד ונחמה. נולד ביום י' באייר תרצ"ז (21.4.1937) בתל-אביב. אחרי סיימו את לימודיו בבית-הספר היסודי "תחכמוני" למד בבית-הספר המקצועי על-שם מכס פיין ואף בבית-הספר התיכון "מונטיפיורי". השתייך לתנועת "השומר הצעיר". עסק במכונאות ובחקלאות. היה חבר קיבוץ זיקים. תמיד גילה אהבה עזה לעץ שטיפל בו, לחלילו האהוב עליו ולספר הטוב בו קרא. גויס לצה"ל בינואר 1955 במסגרת נח"ל ונפל בקרב במערכת-סיני ביום כ"ו במרחשון תשי"ז (31.10.1956) במעבר-המיתלה. הובא לקבורה בבית-הקברות לשעת-חירום בשלח וביום כ"ח בתשרי תשי"ח (23.10.1957) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים. קיבוץ זיקים הוציא קובץ לזכרו ולזכר שלושה מחבריו. זכרו הועלה גם בספרו של אורי מילשטיין, "מלחמות הצנחנים".
