Segen Natan Marom Menhaim served in the Israeli Air Force. Natan served with the Air Force. Natan served in the War of Attrition. Natan was 23 years old.

What Happened

בן יעקב ורחל. נולד ביום א' בסיון תש"ו (31.5.1946) בירושלים ולמד בשני בתי-ספר, "בית-הילד" (בית-ספר נסיוני) ובית-הספר התיכון שליד האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. הוא היה חבר בתנועת "הצופים" והשתתף בקורסים למדריכים. הוא הצטיין בשחייה ובכדורסל והרבה לעסוק במלאכת יד ובציור. שתי תמונות משלו נשלחו לתערוכה העולמית של ציורי ילדם מטעם "אונסקו". חבריו המרובים אהבוהו מאוד וגם מוריו חיבבו אותו. נתן היה בין הראשונים שנרתמו לכל פעולות ההתנדבות בבית-ספרו. נתן גויס לצה"ל באוגוסט 1964 והתנדב לחיל-האויר. הוריו דיברו על לבו שימשיך בלימודים גבוהים, אך הוא ענה בגאווה כי בחר בקריירה צבאית. את חיל-האויר אהב עד כדי קיצוניות והצטרף לצבא-הקבע באפריל 1968. הוא אהב את אשתו ואת בתו אהבה עזה וידע אושר רב עמן. ביום כ"ח באדר א' תש"ל (6.3.1970) נפל סגן נתן בעת מילוי תפקידו כטייס. הוא הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים.
