Turai Monik Susan served in the Israel Defense Forces. Monik served with the Technological and Maintenance Corps. Monik was 18 years old.
בת נסים ואסתר. נולדה ביום כ"ז באלול תשי"ח (12.9.1958) בקזבלנקה שבמרוקו. עלתה ארצה עם בני-משפחתה בשנת 1965. היא למדה בבית-הספר היסודי 'שחר' ובבית-צעירות 'מזרחי' שבבאר-שבע. מוניק היתה בת נאמנה ומסורה. מפאת קשיים כלכליים ובריאותיים של בני-משפחתה היתה נוכחותה בבית חיונית והיא נאלצה לחלק את זמנה בין לימודי מקצוע הספרות לבין שהייה לצד אביה החולה. מדי-פעם הצליחה להגיע לפעילות בבית הנוער השכונתי, ושם היתה ידועה כבחורה חברותית, מקובלת על הבריות. בסוף פברואר 1977 גויסה מוניק לצה"ל ושירתה כנהגת בפיקוד הדרום. ביום כ"ב בסיון תשל"ז (8.6.1977) נפלה בעת מילוי תפקידה. הובאה למנוחת-עולמים בבית-העלמין שבבאר-שבע. השאירה אחריה הורים, חמישה אחים ושלוש אחיות. במכתב-תנחומים למשפחה השכולה כתב מפקדה: "בתכם זכורה לי ולכל חיילי היחידה כחיילת מסורה ואחראית. מוניק היתה מקובלת ואהודה על כולם, וידועה ביחסה החם לחבריה ובנכונותה לעזור לזולת."
