Israel "Sralik" Tenenholtz
Rav Turai Israel Tenenholtz served in the Israel Defense Forces. Israel served with the Armored Corps.
בן זאב ורבקה. נולד באדר תרפ"ו (2.1926) בביאלזורקה שבפולין. בן שנתיים היה בעלות הוריו לארץ בשנת 1928. סיים בית-ספר יסודי ושתי כיתות-המשך בעפולה. השתייך ל"הנוער העובד". עסק בנפחות ובמסגרות. נטה לציור ולמוסיקה. היה חבר ה"הגנה" ומשנת תש"ז היה בשירות פעיל. גויס לצה"ל בפברואר 1948. נפל בשעת מילוי תפקידו ביום כ' באב תשי"א (22.8.1951) והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בעפולה. אחיו ראובן נפל במלחמת-הקוממיות ברמות-נפתלי.
