Turai Shlomo Buchris served in the Israel Defense Forces. Shlomo served with the Home Front Command. Shlomo served in the Six-Day War. Shlomo was 20 years old.
בן רחמים ואמיליה. נולד ביום כ"ד בכסלו תש"ז (17.12.1946) בטריפולי אשר בלוב. כשהמשפחה עלתה עמו לארץ בשנת 1950 היה בן ארבע. הם התיישבו בעפולה ושם גדל והתחנך. את לימודיו היסודיים סיים בבית הספר "אוהל מאיר" במקום; כן המשיך ללמוד בבית הספר "אורט וגם בבית הספר "עמל" לחניכים אשר בעפולה. התמחה במסגרות ועבד במקצוע זה. היה חבר ב"מכבי" שבעפולה והצטיין בכדורגל בקבוצה המקומית. היה ידיד הכל והסביר פנים לכל מי שפנה אליו. גויס לצה"ל בפברואר 1964 ושירת ב"גולני" עד שנפצע. נכותו בידו היתה הסיבה לשחרורו משירות סדיר. אך במלחמת ששת הימים, כאשר גויס שוב, נפל בעפולה ביום כ"ח באייר תשכ"ז (7.6.1967), הוא היום השלישי לקרבות, כשהוא משרת בשירות הג"א. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בעפולה. זכרו הועלה ב"מכבים", בטאון הסתדרות מכבי ישראל.
