Turai Arie Keler served in the Israel Defense Forces. Arie served with the Infantry. Arie served in the War of Independence. Arie was 20 years old.
בנם-יחידם של הנריאטה ובנימין, נולד ביום כ"ג בכסלו תרפ"ח (17.12.1927) בעיר החופשית דנציג ולמד בבית-ספר יסודי. עם החמרת המצב העפילה המשפחה לארץ בשנת 1940 באוניית- המעפילים "אטלנטיק" והיתה בין אלה שגורשו למאוריציוס. אריה שהה שם חמש שנים רצופות וניצל את הזמן להשתלמות בלימודים. בייחוד קנה לו בקיאות בלשונות שונות וידע יפה עברית, רוסית, גרמנית, אנגלית וצרפתית. אריה עלה ארצה ב-27.8.1945, עבד באריזה והיה פעיל ב"הפועל". במלחמת-העצמאות שירת בחטיבת "אלכסנדרוני", לחם בגבולות "המשולש", השתתף בקרב קאקון ונפצע פצעים אנושים ברמת הכובש. שלושה ימים אחרי היפצעו מת בבית-החולים, ביום ז' בסיוון תש"ח (14.6.1948). הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בכפר סבא.
