Samal Parsi Ashkenazi served in the Israel Defense Forces. Parsi served with the Armored Corps. Parsi served in the Six-Day War. Parsi was 20 years old.
בן ווטלי וסופי. נולד ביום י"ד באדר תש"ז (6.3.1947) בסופיה, בירת בולגריה. במלאת לו שנה ומחצה עלתה המשפחה לארץ. פרסי סיים את לימודיו בבית הספר היסודי "יונה הנביא" ביפו ולאחר מכן למד בבית הספר התיכון "גאולה" בתל אביב ושנה אחת ב"קולג' תיכון". התעניין בספורט ובמיוחד בשחייה. גויס לצה"ל במאי 1965 ושירת בחיל השריון. היה מדריך בבית הספר למפקדי טנקים ומוותיקי המדריכים שם. שבעה מחזורים עברו תחת ידיו. בפרוץ מלחמת ששת הימים לא גמר עוד את שירותו ובקרב שנערך על מוצב "אוקלנד" שבסיני ביום הראשון לקרבות, הוא כ"ו באייר תשכ"ז (5.6.1967), מצא את מותו כתוצאה מפגיעה ישירה כשהוא חציו חשוף לאש האויב. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי שבקרית שאול. מפקדו ציין אותו בין אלה אשר יחד עם חבריו הביאו לנו את הנצחון". בבית הספר "יונה הנביא", אשר בו למד, הוקמה ספרייה על שמו.
