Yeshaayahu "Tibi" Grosman
Turai Yeshaayahu Grosman served in the Israel Defense Forces. Yeshaayahu served with the Infantry. Yeshaayahu served in the War of Independence.
בן רייזל ויצחק, נולד בשנת 1924 בעיר הואדז'ין, רומניה. סיים שבע כיתות של בית-ספר עממי והיה לסנדלר. בבוא הנאצים עבר לבודפשט. למרות שנחשב נוצרי, והיו לו תעודות של נוצרי, השתייך במחתרת לארגון ציוני. עם השחרור לא השהה עוד את עלייתו לארץ. מהונגריה עבר לאוסטריה ולאיטליה, ובאונייה "ארבע החירויות" העפיל לארץ, הועבר לקפריסין ועלה משם ביום 15.2.1947. זמן מסוים היה חבר בקיבוץ "אביב" שעשה את הכשרתו על אדמת הקיבוץ הארץ-ישראלי ו' של "השומר הצעיר". אחרי עוזבו את הקיבוץ התגייס לשירות ביום 1.2.1948, שנה אחרי עלייתו. ישעיהו התאמן בשבי ציון, שירת בחטיבת "כרמלי" והשתתף בכל הפעולות לשחרור הגליל המערבי. משם עבר לחזית ג'נין. ביום כ"ה באייר תש"ח (3.6.1948), בקרב על ג'נין, בשעת נסיגה מעמדה שהופגזה קשות, לקח מחברו הפצוע את מקלע ה"בזה" כדי שלא יפול בידי הערבים ובצאתם מן העמדה פגע כדור בלבו והוא נפל. ביום כ' באב תש"י (3.8.1950) הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים.
