Rav Turai Nisim Ben-Arush served in the Israel Defense Forces. Nisim served with the Armored Corps. Nisim served in the War of Independence. Nisim was 21 years old.
בן יאיר ושמחה-מלכה. נולד ביום ח' בכסלו תרפ"ח (2.12.1927) בעיר צפרו אשר במרוקו. בנערותו התחנך ב"תלמוד-תורה" וכשנתבגר למד את מלאכת הסנדלרות שעליה התקיים. נדיב-לב היה ולמרות מצבו הקשה היה תומך בעניים ובמוסדות שונים. הצטרף ל"חברת משוררים" שהיתה משמחת לבבות בשירתם בחתונות-עניים. עוד בנעוריו היה נלהב לציונות ותשוקתו לעלות לארץ היתה עזה. בעיצומה של מלחמת-הקוממיות עלה ושירת בצבא עד שנפל בקרב בסביבות דווימה ביום כ"א בניסן תש"ט (20.4.1949). הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות ברחובות. לאחר נפילתו הועלה לדרגת רב טוראי.
