בן סימה וישראל, נולד ביום י' באייר תרע"ב (27.4.1912) בירושלים. הוא סיים בית-ספר עממי ומיד יצא לעבודת ליטוש יהלומים בנתניה. היה צייר חובב. מנערותו נשא נפשו לגאולת הארץ, שעות היה יושב עם חברו על שפת הים בנתניה, רוקם וחולם כיצד להציל אוניית-מעפילים המגיעה לחוף, כיצד לכבות לעולמים את זרקורי הבריטים על החוף, העומדים על משמרתם כדי לצוד את הפליטים הבורחים מהתופת. הוא היה חוזר ושואל מתי תגיע השעה שיזכה ללכת כשהוא נושא נשק בגלוי ולהגן על מדינתו העצמאית. דויד היה אדם צנוע וטוב-לב אשר הקריב תמיד את אשר לו למען חבריו. לאחר פרוץ מלחמת-העצמאות בראשית 1948 התייצב לשירות בחטיבת ירושלים. השתתף בנכונות ובמסירות בכל הקרבות על רמת רחל והיה מלא שמחה על שזכה לעמוד על המשמר במקום כה מסוכן. דויד נפל ביום כ"ה באייר תש"ח (3.6.1948) במקור חיים כאשר נפגע מהתפוצצות מוקש בהגישו עזרה לחבר שנפצע בקרבתו. נקבר בשייח'-באדר א'. ביום כ"ג באלול תש"י (5.9.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים.
