Turai Eliyahu Maravi served in the Israel Defense Forces. Eliyahu served with the Golani Brigade. Eliyahu served in the Sinai Campaign. Eliyahu was 19 years old.
בן חיים ויפה. נולד ביום ג' בסיון תרצ"ז (13.5.1937) בדמשק, בירת-סוריה. למד שם בבית-הספר של "אליאנס". בילדותו - עלה לארץ יחד עם בני-נוער אחרים ועם חבריו אלה נכנס לקיבוץ. אחרי שהותו שם במשך שנה למד בבית-ספר מקצועי בחיפה עד הגיעו למצוות. בגיל י"ד עזב את בית-הספר הנ"ל ולמד את מקצוע הנגרות, ומאז, במשך שנתיים, עבד במוסך-המשטרה שבחיפה. במלאת לו ט"ו חזר לקיבוץ, אך אחרי היותו שם כשנה החליט להתגייס לצבא. השתתף במערכת-סיני והיה לדוגמה לכל חבריו בעוז-רוחו ובאומץ-לבו, ובקרב רפיח, ביום כ"ז במרחשון תשי"ז (1.11.1956) נפל. הובא לקבורה בבית-הקברות הצבאי לשעת-חירום בבארי וביום ה' במרחשון תשי"ח (30.10.1957) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בחיפה.
