בן מרתה ומרטין, נולד ביום ל' באב תרס"ט (17.8.1909) בברלין, בירת גרמניה. לאחר שסיים ללמוד בגימנסיה, נתקבל לפקולטה לרפואה באוניברסיטה בברלין וסיים את לימודיו באיטליה. היה ציוני ותיק, פעיל בתנועות-נוער ציוניות בימי לימודיו בבית-הספר ובאיגוד הסטודנטים הציוניים (ק.י.פ.) בגרמניה. עלה לארץ ב-1.5.1936 ועבד כרופא בחיפה ובתל-אביב. אחד הרופאים שהעמידו את עצמם לשירות ה"הגנה" מימי מאורעות 1936 ועד למלחמת-העצמאות. את תפקידו זה מילא בעיר ובכפר ובמחנות מעפילים ועצורי ה"שורה". אור ליום ח' באייר תש"ח (17.5.1948), בהיותו בתפקיד במחנה- יונה שבתל-אביב, נהרג בהפצצה של מטוסים מצריים והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק. הניח אישה ובן, בן 14 ימים.
