בן סוסיה ופינחס, נולד בשנת 1900 בעיר רזינה שבפלך בסרביה, רוסיה. למד ב"חדרים" ובבית-ספר עממי וב-1920 עלה עם שיירת חלוצים לארץ. כאן עבד בחקלאות ואחר-כך בבניין כטייח והיה כל הזמן חבר נאמן לציבור העובדים ולהסתדרותו ומילא חובתו ב"הגנה". הוא השתתף בהגנת מקום-מגוריו, הרצליה והסביבה, במהומות 1929, ובמאורעות 1936-1939. לפי גילו ומצבו המשפחתי היה פטור משירות סדיר במלחמת- העצמאות, אך מילא את חובתו כראוי, שירת בחטיבת "אלכסנדרוני" ובעומדו על המשמר במשלט בכפר סבא הערבית (הכפר שבין כפר סבא לקלקיליה), נפל ביום י"ט בסיוון תש"ח (26.6.1948) והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהרצליה.
