PETSCII News · ON THIS BOARD
petscii.nw is on the air
A real Commodore BBS with 32 lines, screens for every Commodore, and a list of other boards you can call tonight.
petscii.nw is a bulletin board system in the old sense, and it is answering calls. Point a WiFi modem, a C64 Ultimate or SyncTERM at petscii.neuraweb.io port 6400, or dial it from this site in your browser.
Every Commodore
Tell the board what you are calling from and it draws its screens for that machine: a C64, a C128 in 40 or 80 columns, a VIC-20, a PET, a Plus/4 or an Amiga. A PC gets ANSI. There are 32 lines, so a crowd can be on at once.
What Is On It
Message bases, private mail, bulletins and G-files, file libraries with Punter, XMODEM and ZMODEM transfers, door games, the one-liner wall, and a sysop you can page.
Other Boards
The BBS list carries six other Commodore boards that answered when we called them this week: Deep Skies, Enterprise, High Desert, Oasis, The Dead Zone and Willow Creek. Every board on it is dialled once a day, and press L on the main menu to see the same list from the board.
The group is on Facebook too, at facebook.com/groups/petscii. See you on the board.
