The back-to-back American League Cy Young Award winner is set to be the prize of the trade deadline with his free agency approaching and the Tigers’ season falling apart, and there have been suggestions the Yankees should try to get him in pinstripes.

The 29-year-old missed time earlier this season due to elbow surgery and has pitched well (3.32 ERA, 66 strikeouts in 59⅔ innings), if not up to his otherworldly standards. And the Yankees are regarded as having one of the best rotations in baseball.
