West Kowloon Court heard on Monday that Constable Ko Chun-chung, 40, felt ashamed and was unable to face the consequences after being caught for the offence against the woman on January 15, 2025.
He pleaded guilty before a deputy district judge to operating equipment with intent to record or observe intimate parts and another charge of attempted possession of a firearm without a licence.
A prosecution summary said Ko, who was off duty at the time, was leaving Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station before making a U-turn to the platform floor to follow a female passenger on an escalator at around 11.50am.
The complainant turned around and saw the officer after he accidentally hit her left leg with a Xiaomi smartphone being used to film between her legs.
Ko repeatedly apologised and begged for mercy as the woman seized his phone and called police.
