The signal means that heavy rain has fallen or is expected to fall generally over Hong Kong, exceeding 30mm (1.2 inches) in an hour, and is likely to continue.

Temperatures throughout the day are expected to hover between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius (80.6 and 87.8 Fahrenheit).
