“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Mia Thornton has been accused of Photoshopping her face onto influencer Sophie O’Neill’s body in a recent social media upload.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, the 41-year-old reality star shared a photo of her wearing a white dress featuring a plunging neckline and holding a small white Birkin.
The only problem? The pic bears an uncanny resemblance to a snap O’Neill uploaded in 2025 — and the model was quick to call it out in Thornton’s comment section.
“@mrsmiathornton — super imposing yourself onto my picture. The world is a very scary place these days — this is just sad,” she wrote. “Please can you remove the picture of ME with your head on it. Thanks.”
After being confronted, Thornton followed up the post with another picture showing herself sitting down inside a restaurant in the same dress, per the Daily Mail.
“Never needed clout,” she captioned the photo. “My name carries enough weight on its own.”
“Let me guess, what’s her name has a photo sitting down inside the restaurant too,” Thornton added.

But fans weren’t buying it. “She didn’t even try to hide it,” one netizen responded.
“So you asked chat GPT to make you sit down in a restaurant setting ok girl. Go away from us with this,” another wrote.
A third person added: “You can ask AI to make the person sit down lol. You would need a screen recorded video with a series of all pics in this outfit and location timestamped.”
The incident sparked a widespread social media joke as several reality stars — including “Real Housewives” stars Tamra Judge and Sherée Whitfield — joined in on the fun by superimposing their faces on O’Neill’s body in the white dress.
Thornton again to the commotion regarding her latest social media fail on Thursday with another upload.
“Two seasons off Potomac… Y’all still talking about me. I’m busy adding 000’s to my bottom line with AI. We are not the same. 💋 #therealdeal #bornentertainer,” the former Bravolebrity captioned her post, per Us Weekly.
The pictures have since been deleted, but not before Thornton chose to respond to a fan in her comments.
“Mia do you, but please don’t steal that ladies body anymore mmmkay 🤭🙌🏽,” the commenter wrote.
Thornton wrote back: “She cute tho. And we got her her 20 seconds of fame. So mission accomplished. Y’all did your big one!”
