President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he is nominating Chris Klomp to serve as deputy secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Trump said he made the decision in conjunction with HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz.

"It is my Great Honor to announce the nomination of Chris Klomp ... as our next Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS)! His rapid rise in my Administration proves that he is a potential STAR. Chris is a Strong and Inspiring Leader and a Highly Successful Entrepreneur. Everywhere Chris goes, he earns TRUST. He is a person of principle, and is deeply committed to serving the AMERICAN People — and fixing our broken Healthcare System," Trump wrote in a Thursday Truth Social post.
