For adults, these changes may seem quite large, but they’re likely to never quite be as impactful to a fully formed grown-up as they can potentially be to children. Growing up amidst an ever-evolving landscape of technology has inspired a whole new generation of bold thinkers and innovators, many of whom are taking distinctly unique approaches to building their own success stories, inspired by the tools they have been surrounded by for the majority of their lives. One such young person is Del Andujar, a twenty-one-year-old maverick in the world of digital privacy.
After growing up in San Diego and experiencing housing instability with his mother, Andujar discovered technology through a school computer. Having access to these kinds of tools through his educational resources became an invaluable benefit for Andujar, as he used the computer as a path toward independence, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Where other children might’ve felt dejected or defeated because of these at-home struggles throughout childhood, Andujar was just the opposite.
As he says, “I struggled a little growing up, and anchored it as a way to motivate myself to become the best version possible of me that I could be. From about the age of 13, I decided I wanted to build something on the internet that would leave an everlasting impact on society.”
Initially, his interest in computers led to other, more creative ventures. As a kid, he first created a gaming YouTube channel with his friend, making tutorials and cheat-code content. It was his first real attempt at building any kind of following online, and afforded him a unique perspective and experience when it came to the online world.
Upon noticing his growing interest in computing, his mother wanted to find a way to support his blossoming passion. To do so, she recruited a computer science tutor to come to their home and further educate Andujar. However, the tutor told them that there was nothing he could teach Andujar because he was already too advanced.
Today, Andujar is the founder of TrueData Solutions LLC and the creator of InfoSecVPN, an invite-only, privacy-focused VPN company built around a strict no-logs approach. His mission is to give users more control over their digital lives in a world where tracking and surveillance have become increasingly common. He shares that he received several recognitions and achieved $100k in revenue during the launch year of the company.
Andujar has become established in the privacy community, affording him a great deal of insight into what people need, want, and desire in this sector. Thus, instead of creating something and then attempting to find an audience for it, he has found success building specific tools to fit these needs.
He shares that he has used his firsthand information to create a VPN that doesn’t log what users visit, stream, download, upload, or request. As he describes, “My servers only know who’s connected during the session link, and that’s only due to how TCP/UDP works. I don’t store any sensitive customer data or hand over sensitive data to law enforcement, which is what makes me unique in the field.”
Through these methods, Del Andujar’s story of success is a distinctly modern one. Despite early childhood instability, Andujar utilized the technological tools at his disposal and found his own creative and entrepreneurial voice from a young age. He has crafted tools and launched brands that speak directly to the needs of modern users and utilize bold new technologies to do so. Through it all, he has found great success, and yet, he believes he is only just getting started.
