Dan Le Batard fires back at Craig Carton’s ‘woke scumbag’ jab

Add The New York Post on Google The never-ending beef between Craig Carton and Dan Le Batard has been reignited.

Carton went on a tirade Friday on his WFAN show, in which he called the ex-ESPN personality a “woke scumbag … with no talent” among other insults he hurled–– and Le Batard fired right back at him.

“Woke, I’ll take. No talent, subjective, willing to accept that as well,” Le Batard laughed in response on his live show Monday. “Scumbag, though, from the guy who spent more than a year in prison and lied to his family, employers, and listeners, scumbag’s a little far. But if you get up, look in the mirror, and see one of those, you’ve got a special kind of expertise in this area that I do not have.”

Dan Le Batard was called a “self-appointed moral compass of America” by Craig Carton. Getty Images The dispute between these two has been going on for years, and harsh memories were brought back when a WFAN caller asked Carton about Le Batard on Friday.

Le Batard has been criticizing Carton for his dealings that led to him going to prison and being away from his WFAN radio show as a result.

Carton’s initial comments were particularly fiery.

“I don’t care for him because he’s an untalented hack,” Carton said Friday. “He’s a self-appointed moral compass of America, when he’s had zero success on any platform he’s ever been on. And if not for gambling money with his company down in Florida, he would be a no-name, nobody.”

He also said that Carton would not have received a promotion after going to prison if he were “not a white person.”

Craig Carton and Dan Le Batard do not see eye to eye on many things. MLB Photos via Getty Images When Carton landed a show on Fox Sports, Le Batard crushed the decision and called him “the man who went to jail” on multiple occasions in 2023.

Carton currently works with FanDuel in an attempt to shed light on the potential risks of problem gambling in sports and how to seek help.

Meanwhile, Le Batard founded Meadowlark Media alongside former ESPN President John Skipper, who is a recovering drug addict.
