Add The New York Post on Google Far-left House candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier couldn’t stand up to the questioning of mere radio hosts — abruptly ending the interview and storming out of the station.
The dust up Tuesday morning unfolded when the La Mega radio hosts pressed the Mamdani-backed candidates in the NY13 race on her old social posts.
The thin-skin socialist was set off when one of the hosts pressed her on a now-deleted post that referred to the Dominican flag as “violent” while saying she would never put it in her social media profile, ripping it as “f–king nationalism.”
“As a Dominican, I come back and say it, I am offended by what I saw, by what I read,” said Excarlet Molina. “We need you to take advantage of this scenario…. We already heard that you apologized in the case with Kamala Harris. I think this is a good opportunity to do that same thing for that Dominican who feels bad because of what you have said in the past.”
Avila Chevalier would only say “I feel bad about Tweets in general” and blamed her opponent for misinformation.
“But I think that what we Dominicans are most hurt by here was the situation with the flag. That’s what was most hurtful,” another host pressed.
Democratic congressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier stormed out of a radio interview after getting asked about her old social media posts. Mega 97.9 Avila Chevalier told the hosts she refused to be “shouted at” by them. Mega 97.9 But Avila Chevalier wasn’t having it.
“I’m sorry but I’m not going to sit here and be shouted at by various people. I’ve already spoken, I’ve already explained my position. Have a nice day,” she said before bolting.
The hosts responded, “There you heard the words of Darializa Avila Chevalier, candidate for District 13. That is the candidate that you are going to choose today if you vote for her.
“Look at how she deals with questions and concerns from the public.”
