They have strong belief in their own player development abilities, and for good reason — much of the roster has benefited from it.

Jalen Brunson has emerged as a superstar, OG Anunoby grew into one of the best two-way players in the league, Josh Hart went from a journeyman to a key piece on a championship team, Landry Shamet went from clinging to the fringes of the league to a vital bench piece, Jordan Clarkson completely reinvented himself with the Knicks and Miles McBride from an NBA uncertainty to important contributor.
