Nets trade for Julius Randle in three-team deal in pre-NBA draft stunner

The Timberwolves sent Randle and the No. 28 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft to the Nets as part of a three-team deal, according to ESPN.

Julius Randle was traded to the Nets on Monday night. Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post The Nets are sending center Nic Claxton to the Bulls as part of the deal, and Minnesota will get the Nets’ No. 33 pick in the draft.

HoopsHype had previously reported that the T-Wolves had been trying to get a sense of the value of several pieces that they have, which included Randle and the No. 28 overall pick.

Randle is well-versed in the New York City market, having spent five seasons across the Brooklyn Bridge in midtown Manhattan with the Knicks.

He was traded as part of the deal in 2024 by the Knicks to bring in Karl-Anthony Towns.
