In a statement posted on her TikTok page, @ekyn.wong, on Saturday, she said she took full responsibility for her actions, which had caused discomfort and unease to various parties, adding that her reactions were spontaneous and not premeditated.
“I genuinely regret my actions and realise that my behaviour was excessive,” she said.
“As a result of this incident, I will be more careful in all my actions and will be more sensitive to public sentiments and sensitivities.”
Her apology came days after her legal representative issued a cease-and-desist notice on Friday aimed at social media users, claiming that Nur Asyiqin and her family had faced harassment, threats and reputational damage.
