Matt Damon as Odysseus in "The Odyssey." Universal Pictures A horde of Hollywood’s A-list will descend on London in July for the world premiere of Christopher Nolan‘s “The Odyssey,” as well as Serena and Venus Williams‘ return to Wimbledon, according to insider buzz.
Nolan’s Greek epic “The Odyssey” will have its world premiere in London on July 6, Page Six Hollywood has exclusively learned.
The film’s blockbuster ensemble — including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron — will attend the screening, along with top NBCUniversal execs like Donna Langley, insiders close to the film told us.

The film opens July 17 domestically for mere mortals.
Industry insiders tell us that London will be the place to be when the film premieres, as the Wimbledon Championships also run June 29 through July 12, while concerts and fashion events are also going off, and hotel rates are sky high.
The All England Club just said on Tuesday that the Williams sisters will play as a wild card doubles pair at Wimbledon, less than two weeks before the action starts.
But there’s still speculation that Serena, 44, could also play as a singles competitor in one of eight wild card spots still to be announced by the venerable tennis club. The star recently returned to competition after four years away.
Expect some “Odyssey” stars in the stands at Wimbledon, sources say. Last year A-list attendees at the matches included Holland, Leo DiCaprio, Glen Powell, Matthew McConaughey, Cate Blanchett, Olivia Rodrigo, Andrew Garfield, David Beckham, Russell Crowe, Jodie Foster, Nick Jonas, Noah Baumbach, Greta Gerwig, Tessa Thompson, Rami Malek, Tom Ford, Anna Wintour, Dave Grohl, Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Shawn Levy and John Cena.

On the social scene while the stars are in town, Hollywood folks told us they’ve retained their Soho House memberships in LA all year just so they can access the British sister clubs in London and the Oxfordshire countryside. (We’ve previously reported that Soho House was “culling hundreds of members” in West Hollywood and NYC in a bid to regain some semblance of creative coolness.)
Either way, sources tell us they’re more focused on the private club Maison Estelle in a Mayfair Georgian townhouse, which has been rumored to be eyeing a US expansion.
On the fashion scene, Hermes just opened a new London “mega-flagship” on Tuesday morning, its biggest store in the world. Mused an upper crust insider who attended the opening: “Despite the flight of all the ‘non-dom’ tax-shelterers and the post-Brexit blues, London’s feeling extra flush right now.” (Foreign billionaires have fled the UK after it tinkered with its ‘non-dom’ tax laws for places like Dubai.)
Adding to the scene, we hear, a number of celeb-connected bands are playing the “BST Hyde Park” concert series, including Maroon 5 on July 3, Mumford & Sons on July 4 and Duran Duran on July 5. Said a source of the hotel sitch: “The rates are out of control. It’s worse than New York.”
