Add The New York Post on Google Dozens of animals both alive and dead were found in a Connecticut home last week — sending shockwaves through the normally quiet “small town.”
Mystery has been swirling in quaint Beacon Falls over the disturbing discovery made by police responding to a “suspicious incident” on Munson Road.
Inside the home, authorities spotted 21 live animals — four dogs, nine puppies, seven cats, and a leopard gecko — alongside seven dead ones, identified as pet mice, a bearded dragon, a snake, a cat, and two chickens.

“In the meantime, we’re like, where are the remaining animals and where can we help?”
Woodbridge Regional Animal Control helped remove the dead animals from the home on Wednesday.
The mystery has rocked Beacon Falls, a community of about 6,000 people.
“It’s a very small town, and a lot of people know each other,” said Courtney Britto, who lives near the home.
“This is just so out of the ordinary for Beacon Falls,” she continued.
Woodbridge Regional Animal Control assisted in the recovery of the deceased animals from the home. WTNH News Resident Brooke Blessing added that “it’s just not something you would expect, ever.”
WRAC said in a Facebook post that they “are in immediate need” of food and cleaning supplies, such as towels, Clorox wipes and laundry detergent following the rescue.
“Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated and will help us care for these animals during this critical time,” the post continued.
The incident is still under investigation and additional details are unclear.
The Beacon Falls Police Department, Woodbridge Police Department and Connecticut State Police did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
